LATEST NEWS : FALLONbb SHERROCK WINS WITH 107 AVERAGE AGAINST BEAU GREAVES, BUT RHIAN O’SULLIVAN TAKES TITLE AT FIRST MODUS WOMEN’S WEEK.

Rhian O’Sullivan has become the first-ever Women’s Week winner in the MODUS Super Series. This past week, a total of 12 ladies competed for the title at this event.

Earlier this week, Beau Greaves qualified first for the finals. She was in Group A along with Fallon Sherrock, Kirsi Viinikainen, Trina Gulliver, Rhian O’Sullivan and Katie Sheldon. They played each other once each day from Monday through Wednesday. Greaves won as many as 14 of her 15 matches.

Sherrock and Viinikainen were given a second chance in Group B, which included Lorraine Hyde and Lorraine Winstanley. Sherrock and Viinikainen seized that opportunity with both hands as they, along with Vicky Plum, also forced a spot for the final day. Sheldon, Gulliver and O’Sullivan advanced to Group C, where they were joined by Deta Hedman, Natalie Gilbert and Laura Turner. From this pool, O’Sullivan and Hedman completed the lineup for the final day.

On Saturday, the six finalists were divided into two groups of three players each. Group A consisted of Beau Greaves, Rhian O’Sullivan and Vicky Pruim. Greaves won her two duels, while O’Sullivan advanced to the semifinals as number two.

In Group B, Kirsi Viinikainen was too strong for Fallon Sherrock (3-1) and Deta Hedman (3-2). Because Sherrock won 3-1 over Hedman, she too was allowed to advance to the final four. Sherrock then won 3-0 over Greaves in the first semifinal thanks to an average of 107. O’Sullivan then also qualified for the final with a 3-1 win over Viinikainen. The final was then a 3-2 win for O’Sullivan.
