Ronnie O’Sullivan’s 13-word message shows his true mindset ahead of snooker return.

Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan has offered a peek into his mindset as he gears up for his return at the Xi’an Grand Prix.

O’Sullivan, who has won a joint-record seven worldtitles, will be aiming to make an impact after nearly a month away from the sport. The 48-year-old was last seen battling it out with Judd Trump in the Shanghai Masters semi-final, following on from his defeat at the World Championship earlier in the year.

‘The Rocket’ was knocked out at the quarter-final stage in May and made headlines for backing a LIV Golf-type breakaway tour and his claims about referees after his defeat to Stuart Bingham. O’Sullivan has confessed that it has been difficult to enjoy his snooker this year after falling below the standards he sets for himself.

The 23-time Triple Crown winner has not held back on talks of retirement and has ambitions to compete in pool at some point in the future. However, his short break from snooker seems to have given O’Sullivan a refreshed outlook after landing in China for his next tournament.
